In fact, Kerry is taking a hiatus from a campaign trip to cast his vote on the bill the protects veterans benefits.

I bet I know how he'll vote. The military, active and retired, are an important constituancy for him.

Agreed, but bush and his administration is the galvanizing force behind the cuts and the tossing of our veterans to the wolves.

Yupper, Kerry is very much behind taking care of our veterans with the dignity and respect they deserve.

Kerry is all about doing what makes him look good in the polls. One thing I do admire about president Bush is that he maintains the same policy whether it is popular or not, whether he thinks it is going to cost him votes or not. Kerry cannot be trusted. While he may be doing and saying the things right now that you personally would vote for, who knows what he would do once elected. It's a safe bet he won't give a rat's ass about any promises he made to get to the White House.

Oh? I guess that would explain why he thought it neceassary to lie to the entire world about the reasons for invading Iraq.

Hussein gave every indication he had done so. I wish President Bush had simply stated Saddam was going to be removed for material breach of the accord that ended the Gulf War. That was proven without question. Why did Saddam refuse to cooperate with weapons inspections? Very simple. If someone points a gun at you will you hope it isn't loaded or do you react as if it were?

Assuming for the sake of argument, and only for the sake of this argument as I contend that he and his cronies are lying bastards who could care less how many die for thier ends, that he believed there were WMD though every indication said otherwise then I would have to say that if someone points a gun at me I would want someone who knew how to use a gun defending me.

bush doesn't. He has shown that by his incompetence that among other things has led to this self serving misuse of stop loss to screw our military. He is in effect lying to the american people by disguising the true cost of the invasion.

Now back to reality: He's a lying incompetent bastard who is killing america's son's and daughter's in an illconceived invasion based on misinformation and falsehood.

Pina, I have a question though. You say the war was based on misinformation and falsehood. As President, Shrub has to be able to rely on his staff and subordinates to give him good intel. That they did not is not an indictment of Bush. Perhaps peoples anger at Bush is misplaced. W takes the heat cause he's the CEO. But I do not know of ONE CEO in a corporation of any significant size that gathers all market data by himself, does the books by himself etc.

In other words, it's not very fair to blame Bush for the failings of those he trusted to get him good information. You, me, hell, just about anyone may have made the same choices given what he was told.
